Service disruption
In the event of a service disruption and the train has to be stopped for a period of time:
     
 
• Do not panic. Take care of children and elderly passengers traveling with you.

• Stay calm. The emergency light and ventilation fans will remain on.

• Do not force open the door or attempt to jump off the train.
  • Listen carefully to the in-train public address announcements. Follow the instructions given by our staff.

• Use the Emergency Call button to inform our staff of any emergency in the train.

•If necessary, shuttle bus services will be provided at bus stops near the NEL stations.

 
   
   
     
  Evacuation from a train
If a problem develops while a train is between two stations, the train will be brought to the nearest station so that passengers can get off the train. However, if an evacuation is necessary while the train is between two stations:
 
     
 
• Listen carefully to the in-train public address announcements. Follow the instructions given by our staff.

• Stay calm. The emergency light and ventilation fans will remain on.

• Do not panic. Take care of children and elderly passengers travelling with you.

• Do not force open the door or attempt to jump off the train.
  • Use the Emergency Call button to inform our staff of any emergency in the train.

• Walk to the emergency exits at either end of the train as directed by our staff.

• Go down the emergency exit ramp and walk between the tracks as our staff guide you
to the nearest station. Follow the directional signs along the tunnel wall.

• Use the staircase at each end of the platform to enter the station.
