Since the commencement of revenue service on 29 January 2005, Punggol LRT (East Loop) has recorded 54,840 rides while Sengkang LRT (West Loop) recorded 37,181 rides as at 6 February 2005.

Overall, the system has performed well and delivered a safe, reliable and smooth ride to passengers taking the Punggol LRT (East Loop) and Sengkang LRT (West Loop).

Mr Ong Boon Leong, Chief Operating Officer, SBS Transit said, “ We are encouraged by the commuters’ support and confidence in Punggol LRT (East Loop) and Sengkang LRT (West Loop). We hope that starting the LRT services last month has made travelling during this festive period a more pleasurable one for residents in both areas.
