2005 - Residents of Bishan, Toa
Payoh, Bukit Merah, Serangoon, Bedok,
Tampines and Pasir Ris New Towns
have good reason to cheer. Commencing
Sunday, 31 July 2005, they will
enjoy greater convenience with new
links to various destinations with
the introduction of SBS Transit
Services 57 and 58.
SBS Transit Service 57 operates
between Bishan and Bukit Merah.
It will provide residents of Bishan,
Bukit Merah and Toa Payoh with the
connections as follows:
- direct bus links between Bishan, Toa Payoh and Bukit Timah Road / Dunearn Road (between Whitley Road and Serangoon Road), Shenton Way and Bukit Merah,
- direct link between Depot Road and Alexandra Road / HarbourFront Station.
- new direct link between Bishan and Lorong 6 Toa Payoh
- new direct link between Depot Road and Shenton Way / Cecil Street, Bukit Timah Road (between Whitley Road and Serangoon Road), Toa Payoh, Bishan
The service operates daily with the first bus and last bus departing from Bishan Bus Interchange at 6.00am and 11.30pm respectively, and from Bukit Merah Bus Interchange at 5.45am and 12 midnight respectively.
SBS Transit Service 58 operates between Bishan and Pasir Ris. It will provide residents of Bishan, Serangoon, Bedok, Tampines and Pasir Ris with the connections as follows:
- direct bus links between Bishan, Serangoon, Bedok, Tampines and Pasir Ris
- direct bus link between Serangoon Interchange / Station and Eunos Link for easy transfer between buses and NEL
In addition, it will also provide Ubi Avenue 3 with a bus service and serve the Tampines North Wafer Fab Park and factories along Tampines Avenue 10.
The service operates daily with the first bus and last bus departing from Bishan and Pasir Ris Bus Interchanges at 5.30am and 12 midnight respectively.
Passengers of SBS Transit Services
57, 58 and 34 can redeem a bottle
of Nestle coffee-mate creamer or
a bottle of Lux shampoo with 10
bus tickets of these services at
the respective bus interchanges
in Bishan, Bukit Merah, Pasir Ris
and Punggol. The promotion will
end on 31 August 2005 (while stocks
last).
Other than cash-paying commuters, those who pay by ez-link card will be issued with a token one-cent ticket by our bus captains during the promotion period.

Commencing also on 31 July 2005,
Service 34 will operate from Punggol
Bus Interchange to Changi Airport
Via Punggol Central, Punggol Road, (TPE), Tampines Ave 10, Tampines Avenue 5, Tampines Avenue 2, Tampines Avenue 7, (TPE, PIE, ECP), Airport Boulevard and Changi Airport.

Toa Payoh South Flyover, Jalan Toa Payoh, Whitley Road, Dunearn Road, Bukit Timah Road, Sungei Road, Ophir Road, Beach Road, (Bras Basah Road), Nicoll Highway, (Esplanade Drive, Fullerton Road), Collyer Quay, Raffles Quay, Shenton Way, Keppel Road, Telok Blangah Road, Alexandra Road, Depot Road, Henderson Road, (Bukit Merah Central) and Bukit Merah Bus Interchange.
From Bishan Bus Interchange to Pasir Ris
