23 June 2005 – To facilitate the national day rehearsals, educational show and road works, SBS Transit bus services will be diverted and amended as follows:
22 SBS Transit bus services will
be temporarily diverted as the roads
in the Padang vicinity; namely Connaught
Drive, St Andrew’s Road, Fullerton
Road, Parliament Place, Collyer
Quay, Esplanade Drive, Nicoll Highway
(one carriageway towards Padang),
Stamford Road (between North Bridge
Road and Nicoll Highway), Bras Basah
Road (Between Beach Road and Nicoll
Highway) and Beach Road (Between
Bras Basah Road and Middle Road;
one carriage way towards Padang),
will be closed for the following
events:
• National Day Parade Rehearsal – 25 June and 2 July 2005
• National Education Show – 9 and 16 July 2005
• National Day Parade Final Show – 23 July 2005
• National Day Preview - 30 July 2005
• National Day Parade – 9 August 2005
The affected services will be diverted in two phases as follows:

A section of Mountbatten Road in the direction towards Geylang Road will be closed from Sunday 26 June 2005 due to re-alignment road works.
With the closure, SBS Services 7, 11, 12, 31, 32, 33, 158 and 197 will be amended to ply along Sims Way in both directions. These services will call at a new bus stop along Sims Way.
In the direction towards City, SBS Services 7, 11, 12, 31, 32, 33 and 197 will call at the bus stop along Geylang Road before Mountbatten Road.
At the same time, Service 158 will skip bus stop along Sims Avenue (after Lor 1 Geylang). The short trips of Services 158A and 158B will be amended to call at Aljunied Station so as to connect DunmanHigh School to the nearest MRT station.
