6 November 2006 - Ride with SBS Transit this Christmas season and stand to win a five-day Family Holiday for 4 worth $8,000 to Gold Coast, Australia.

From today, SBS Transit will award all ez-link commuters who ride on our buses and trains (North East Line, Sengkang LRT and Punggol LRT) with Transit Dollars. SeasonPass commuters with a November or December stamp purchase will be awarded 300 Transit Dollars. Concession e-stamp users will be awarded with Transit Tokens when they make a complete ride.

Transit Dollars and Transit Tokens awarded between 6 November and 17 December 2006 can be used to bid for 280 pairs of Golden Village VivoCity movie vouchers worth more than $5,000 in an online auction at our website, www.sbstransit.com.sg. On top of that, commuters with Transit Dollars can bid for the Grand Prize of a Family Holiday to the Gold Coast, including free accommodation and free admission to some attractions, while those with Transit Tokens can bid for the Grand Prize of 10 pairs of Golden Village Movie Vouchers. Commuters can bid for the prizes from 4 to 22 December 2006 and this will culminate in the bid for the Grand Prizes on 23 December 2006.

All eligible commuters must register through our website, www.sbstransit.com.sg in order to participate in this Christmas Auction. Commuters who travel on the North East Line will be able to double their Transit Dollars or Transit Tokens while commuters who travel on selected services going to town areas of Orchard and Marina (list attached) will triple their Transit Dollars or Transit Tokens.

Background

An online auction for ez-link card commuters who are non e-stamp users will be held thrice weekly on Mondays, Wednesday and Fridays from 4 to 22 December 2006. During each auction, there will be 4 prizes of 5 pairs of GV movie vouchers available for bidding. In addition, 2 bonus prizes of 10 pairs of GV movie vouchers will also be available for bidding on 3 Fridays during the Auction Period.

The Grand Prize of a Family Holiday for 4 to Gold Coast, will be available for on-line bidding on 23 December 2006.

Concession e-stamp users can take part in another category of auctions that will be held each weekday for 3 consecutive weeks from 4 to 22 December 2006. The auction items are 2 prizes of 1 pair of GV movie vouchers. The Grand Prize of 10 pairs of GV movie vouchers will be available for bidding by concession e-stamp users on 23 December 2006.
