1. What is this promotion about?
Earn e-tokens when you (an e-stamp Concession Pass Holder for bus travel) ride with us on our SBS Transit bus services during the promotion period and you can bid for our weekly auction items of iPod nano and SingTel mobile phone vouchers. In addition, there are Bonus items of Apple Mac mini and iBook up for bid during the promotion.
Alternatively, you stand a chance to win a Grand Lucky Draw Prize of an Apple iMac worth $2,500 with your accumulated e-tokens at the end of the promotion.
2 components to this promotion :
i) Online Auction - accumulate e-tokens to bid for items in our Weekly Online Auction (note that there are minimum bids for each item);
ii) Lucky Draw – accumulate e-tokens to get Lucky Draw chances to win our Grand Lucky Draw Prize at the end of the promotion. (note that there is a minimum e-token requirement).
2. What is the qualifying period?
The promotion period for the Weekly Online Auction and Lucky Draw is for bus travel from 5.00 am, 11 May to 11.59 pm, 2 Aug 2006.
3. Who can participate?
You can participate once you purchase an e-stamp for Bus Concession Pass (BCP) or Hybrid Concession Pass (HCP). For HCP holders, only the bus component will be given e-tokens.
The 4 types of e-stamp Concession Pass Holders eligible for this promotion are :
i) Primary Student;
ii) Secondary, Junior College, Full-time ITE Student;
iii) Tertiary Student;
iv) Full-time National Serviceman.
Note that e-tokens will only be given for complete rides (with valid entry and exit processing) on SBS Transit buses only.
4. How do I participate?
You must register online with us. Only those who sign up online with us are allowed to take part in our Weekly Online Auction and Lucky Draw.
In addition, 10 Bonus e-tokens will be given to you (Concession e-stamp Pass Holders) who makes at least one complete SBS Transit bus ride during the promotion period when you sign up online with us. These Bonus e-tokens will be added to your e-token account about 1-2 days later.
This also applies to those who have already registered with us in our earlier promotions. Such Bonus e-tokens are given only once for each unique e-stamp Concession Pass Holder’s online registration.

5. What are e-tokens?
e-tokens are given to customers for every complete ride (with valid entry and exit processing) for e-stamp travel on SBS Transit bus services during the promotion period.
6. When can I start earning e-tokens?
You can start earning e-tokens from 11 May. This is a 12-week promotion which starts from 11 May and ends on 2 Aug 2006.
7. How do I earn e-tokens?
1 e-token is earned for every complete ride (with valid entry and exit processing) for e-stamp travel on SBS Transit bus services. The more you ride on our buses, the more e-tokens you will earn. Just make sure that you tap in and tap out for every bus ride.
8. How do I earn Bonus e-tokens?
By simply doing the following :
i) Signing up online with us, you will get 10 Bonus e-tokens once you have made a complete SBS Transit bus ride with us anytime during the promotion period (note that Bonus e-tokens will be added to your e-token account about 1-2 days later);
ii) Taking these SBS Transit bus services, your e-tokens for the ride will automatically be doubled.
9. Can I exchange my e-tokens for cash?
No, e-tokens do not have any monetary value and cannot be exchanged for cash.
10. Can I transfer my e-tokens to another card?
No, e-tokens accumulated are not transferable to another card.
11. How do I check my accumulated e-tokens?
Once you have registered with us, you can check your accumulated e-tokens earned just by logging onto our website by using your ez-link card number.
e-tokens displayed will have an approximate time lag of 5 days. For example, e-tokens shown on 26 May are for accumulated e-tokens from 11 – 21 May 2006.
12. What are the auction times, dates, items and announcements of results for the Weekly Online Auction?
One Online Auction will be held each week for 12 consecutive weeks starting from 23 May to 8 Aug 2006. Items offered for each week of the Online Auction can be viewed at our website from 23 May 2006.
The qualifying e-tokens for the Online Weekly Auction may be accumulated from 11 May 2006 to approximately 5 days before each Online Weekly Auction Date.
Each week starting from 23 May, iPod nano, SingTel mobile phone vouchers and e-stamps will be available for online bidding.
Results will usually be announced at 12 noon at our website on the following day of the weekly auction. The winners’ ez-link card numbers will be displayed.
Winners will be notified via contact information provided during registration.

13. Do you have any Bonus Weekly Online Auction items?
Yes, we do have Bonus items of an Apple Mac mini and iBook on the 8th and 12th week of the promotion respectively. These items will be in addition to the weekly auction items.
14. When do you have such Bonus Weekly Online Auction items?
This will be available on the 11 Jul (8th week) and 8 Aug 2006 (12th week) of the promotion.
Bonus items of the Online Auction can be viewed at our website from 11 Jul 2006.
15. What are the minimum bids for each auction item?
A minimum bid of 100 e-tokens for iPod nano; 90 e-tokens for SingTel mobile phone vouchers and 20 e-tokens for e-stamps.
A minimum bid of 300 e-tokens is required for Apple Mac mini and 400 e-tokens for Apple iBook.
16. Why do you have a minimum bid requirement?
This is set according to the value of the auction items so that more e-tokens are used to bid for higher value items. This is done to ensure a fairer system.
17. What type of e-stamp will I win if I bid for an e-stamp?
If you bid for an e-stamp, you will be entitled to win a bus e-stamp of your category as this promotion is for bus travel only. This means that if you use an e-stamp on a Hybrid Concession Pass (HCP), you will win an e-stamp on a Bus Concession Pass (BCP) of your category.
18. How will the Weekly Online Auction be conducted?
Bidding will only be on our SBS Transit website using e-tokens earned during the promotion period. You (registered customers) are allowed to place bids for items offered for the Weekly Online Auction corresponding to the dates and times spelt out in Question 12.
The Weekly Online Auction will be based on a closed bidding system. Hence, the current highest bid will not be reflected on the website. Once a bid is submitted, you are not allowed to modify your bid but are allowed to bid for other items (not the same item) using any remaining e-tokens after the previous bid.
The highest bid for each item received before close of bidding will be the winning bid. e-tokens will only be permanently deducted from the ez-link card of the winning bidder. In the event of a tie, the earlier bid will be considered the winning bid.
Once there is a successful bid, the accumulated e-tokens will be reduced accordingly by the submitted bid for the item. No e-tokens will be deducted for any unsuccessful bidding and these e-tokens will be returned to you the following day after the auction date.
Any balance accumulated e-tokens (minimum 41 e-tokens) you have at the end of the promotion will automatically be converted to Lucky Draw chances to participate in the Grand Lucky Draw.
19. Will anyone win all the prizes if he/she has a gazillion e-tokens?
Yes! ... But each participant can only win once in each prize category, i.e. if a bidder has won 1 iPod, 1 Singtel Hello voucher, 1 e-stamp, 1 Mac Mini, and 1 iBook, he/she will not be able to win any more items ... =P
20. What happens if someone did win all the above 5 prizes and still accumulating more e-tokens - any more prizes to be won?
More e-tokens will give the participant a higher chance at the Grand Lucky Draw ... Any more e-tokens will just mean that the winner is a magician! :)
21. I have received an email telling me I have won but prize collection date is not stated. Is SBS Transit trying to cheat my prizes?!
Maybe!! Winners will receive an acknowledgement email. Prize collection notification email will come shortly. Just remember to refresh your email every micro-second! ...
22. How do I participate in the Grand Lucky Draw?
Earn e-tokens when you (an e-stamp Concession Pass Holder for bus travel) ride with us on our SBS Transit bus services during the promotion period and you stand a chance to win a Grand Lucky Draw Prize of an Apple iMac worth $2,500 with your accumulated e-tokens.
A minimum 41 e-tokens are required to have a Lucky Draw chance.

23. What can I expect to win in the Grand Lucky Draw?

24. How will the Lucky Draw be conducted?
The draw shall be conducted at SBS Transit’s Headquarters at 205 Braddell Road, Singapore 579701 on 14 Aug 2006.
A computerised draw system will be used to randomly select the winners according to the chances allocated to each ez-link card. The higher the e-tokens accumulated, the higher the chances of winning the prize.
SBS Transit’s decision on the winner of the draw shall be final and conclusive.
25. When will the results of the Grand Lucky Draw be announced?
The Grand Lucky Draw will be drawn on 14 Aug 2006 and our Grand Lucky Draw prize winner will be displayed on our website on 16 Aug 2006.
The winner will be informed via contact information provided during registration.
26. Where do I claim my Weekly Auction item or Grand Lucky Draw prize?
The winner in the Weekly Online Auction or Grand Lucky Draw must present the winning ez-link card and NRIC / Passport / BC when claiming the item or prize at SBS Transit, 205 Braddell Road, Singapore 579701.
27. When is the last date for collection of my Weekly Auction item or Grand Lucky Draw prize?
The last date for collection of item or prize is on 16 Oct 2006 by 12 noon.
