New and Amended Bus Routes for Jurong West Residents.


From Sunday, 15 March 2009, Jurong West residents can look forward to a new service – Service 241 – while the route of an existing service – Service 242 – will be amended to offer better connectivity to the new Pioneer MRT station as well as a faster link to the Boon Lay Bus Interchange.

  • Route Amendment for Service 242

Service 242 currently operates from Boon Lay Interchange and provides connection to Jalan Boon Lay, Jurong West Street 72, Street 91 and Street 92 and Jurong West Avenues 4 and 5. It loops at Street 91 on its return trip. The route will be amended to turn back at Street 71 instead to serve residents heading to the Interchange with a shorter travel time. The frequency, operating hours and fares for this feeder service shall remain unchanged.

 

  • New Bus Route – Service 241

With the amendment to the route of Service 242, residents in Neighbourhood 9, along Street 91 and 92 will be served by the new Service 241 which will provide a direct and convenient connection to the Pioneer MRT Station as well as a faster route to the Boon Lay Interchange. A new feeder service with a scheduled frequency of 5 minutes during peak hours, it will start from Boon Lay Interchange and provide connection to Pioneer Road North, Jurong West Streets 63, 91 and 92.
