Usage of SeasonPass

 
 
How does the SeasonPass work?
A. You need to apply for a SeasonPass card and purchase a valid monthly stamp to enjoy unlimited rides for a month.

When boarding the bus, please show our Bus Captains the SeasonPass card with a valid stamp.

 
     
 
Do I need to pay for my first SeasonPass and subsequent replacement card, if any?
A. For first time applicants with stamp purchase before 31 Jan 07, SeasonPass card will be complimentary. SeasonPass applications received after 31 Jan 07 will be subjected to an application fee of $3. A replacement fee of $5 is applicable for replacement of lost or damaged SeasonPass. To get a replacement card, please submit a SeasonPass card application <refer to 'Application Procedures'>.
 
     
 
What do I need to do if I misplace my SeasonPass or if my SeasonPass is stolen? Can I get any refund for my unused stamps?
A. It is your responsibility to safekeep your card and SBS Transit is under no obligation to refund or to compensate for unused stamps either in part or in full. To get a replacement card, please submit a SeasonPass card application <refer to ‘Application Procedures’>.
 
     
 
Can I use SeasonPass on the rail systems operated by SBS Transit Ltd (i.e. North-East line, Sengkang LRT or Punggol LRT)? Why?
A. No. Usage of SeasonPass is limited only to all bus services operated by SBS Transit Ltd except for Premium, Fast Forward and Express bus services. It is only valid on bus because SeasonPass is a product targeted at improving travel on buses.
 
     
 
Can I use SeasonPass to board buses and rail systems operated by SMRT?
A. No. The SeasonPass is an SBS Transit initiative meant to encourage greater usage on public buses.
 
     
 
Can I use SeasonPass to board non-basic services like Premium, Express, Fast Forward, Chinatown Direct, Nite Owl, and Parks Services?
A. Usage of SeasonPass is on all bus services operated by SBS Transit Ltd except for Premium, Express & Fast Forward Services. Please refer to our website for the updated list of all bus services which accepts SeasonPass.
 
     
 
I live in an area without SBS Transit bus services. How can I benefit from SeasonPass?
A. SBS Transit buses serve almost every corner of Singapore. However, there are areas where our coverage is limited, like in towns which fall under the territorial responsibility of SMRT Buses. Nevertheless, it is still possible to benefit from SeasonPass as long as you are able to switch to our services. While there is a need to incur some fares for the non-SBS Transit bus portion of the journey, you will still benefit by maximising the rest of your journey on SBS Transit bus services.
 
     
 
If I use SeasonPass, will I still be eligible for transfer rebates when I use SMRT bus or the rail service for the next journey leg?
A. No, you will not be eligible for any transfer rebates. However, you will not need to pay any fare if your subsequent journey leg involves SBS Transit bus services which accept SeasonPass. Please refer to our website for the updated list of all bus services which accepts SeasonPass.
 
     
 
Can I use SeasonPass as a fare card?
A. No. SeasonPass is not a fare card and should not be used as one.
 
     
 
What is the validity period for SeasonPass card?
A. There is no validity period for SeasonPass cards. Subject to terms and conditions specified, the holders can use SeasonPass as long as it is not damaged or defaced. Please refer to our website for updates.
 
     
 
Can I transfer my SeasonPass to my spouse or other family member for their use?
A. No. SeasonPass is a personalised card which is not transferable. Anyone found using a SeasonPass that does not belong to him is deemed to have infringed on the terms of use and SBS Transit Ltd reserves the right to commence legal proceedings against the card holder and the person mis-using the card.
 
     
  Use of SeasonPass Stamps  
 
Where can I make follow up purchases for SeasonPass stamps?
A. SeasonPass stamps are sold at TransitLink Ticket Offices. Check the SeasonPass website for an up-to-date list of authorised agents.
 
     
 
What is the price of a SeasonPass stamp and how many months of stamps can I purchase in advance?
A.

The price for each SeasonPass stamp is $98. The stamp is on sale 2 weeks before and up to 1 week after the start date. There is no advance purchases for more multiple months.

Cash-only payment can be made at all Transitlink Ticket Offices. Cheque payment can be made payable to SBS Transit Ltd and mailed to: SeasonPass, 205 Braddell Road Singapore 579701.

 
     
 
What is the validity of a SeasonPass stamp and can I purchase a stamp in the middle of the month?
A. SeasonPass stamp is valid for one month, starting from 1st of the month. Hence, a stamp dated 1 Mar 08 will be valid up to and including 31 Mar 08. SeasonPass stamps can be purchased from 15th of preceding month to 5th of the month. This means that a stamp dated 1st Mar 08 will come on sale starting 15th Feb 08 and end on 5th Mar 08.

 
     
 
If my stamp is valid until say 31 Dec 06, can I take bus services past midnight of 31 Dec 06 or morning of 1 Jan 07?
A. Yes. You can take bus services up till 4am of the next day after the expiry of the stamp.
 
     
  Application Procedures  
 
Where can I get SeasonPass application forms?
A. Application forms can be obtained from SBS Transit bus interchanges and TransitLink Ticket Offices. Forms can also be downloaded from our website. You may also sign up online at our website.
 
     
 
How do I apply for SeasonPass?
A. You can apply for your SeasonPass through any of the following:

a) For cheque payment only :

  • Mail the completed application form with a crossed cheque, photograph and photocopy of NRIC to:
    SBS Transit Ltd
    205 Braddell Road
    Singapore 579701
    Attention SeasonPass;

b) For cash payment only :

  • Hand in completed application form, photograph and photocopy of NRIC to TransitLink Ticket Offices and pay by cash. You will be issued a receipt as proof of the transaction;

c) Online application :

  • Sign up at our website. Print and attach the confirmation slip with a crossed cheque, photo and photocopy of NRIC to:

SeasonPass will be mailed to applicants about 3-4 weeks after the receipt of the completed application form.

 
     
 
Do I need to submit any supporting documents for my applications?
A. Yes. For Singaporean citizens and permanent residents, you need to submit a photocopy of your NRIC (front and back sides). For Work Pass holders, you should submit the photocopy of your Work Pass (front and back sides). For foreigners who do not possess a work permit or employment pass, please submit the photocopy of your passport.
 
     
 
What is the requirement for the photograph?
A. The photograph submitted must be passport sized, preferably with white background. The photograph image must show the full face and without headgear (headgear worn in accordance with religious or racial customs is acceptable but must not hide the facial features).

What are the modes of payment?
A.

Can I apply on behalf of my family members at the road show with the right supporting documents and full payment?
A. Yes. You may do so provided that all documents including photographs and signatures are completed satisfactorily by the applicant (i.e. the family member).

How should I pay for my SeasonPass stamp if I sign up online?
A. For online registration, an acknowledgement slip will be available for printing upon complete registration. Attach a copy of the acknowledgement slip and mail it together with a crossed cheque with payee as ‘SBS Transit Ltd’, to: SBS Transit Ltd, 205 Braddell Road, Singapore 579701. Attn: SeasonPass Card. Please also remember to attach a photocopy of your I.C. and photograph.
 
     
 
How do I find out how SeasonPass can help me cut down my waiting time?
A. We have provided SeasonPass Journey Solutions at our website. Those who wish to find out alternative services which can be used to cut down travel time can use SeasonPass Journey Solutions.
 
     
 
What if I accidentally entered the wrong data during online application?
A. Please contact our hotline at 1800-287 2727 and provide them with the details of the error and your personal particulars immediately. We will reconfirm the details before processing the card.
 
     
  Terms & Conditions of SBS Transit SeasonPass  
 
Terms & Conditions
 
  1. SBS Transit reserves the right to accept or reject applications for SeasonPass ("the Pass") if information provided is unclear, incomplete, or if full payment is not received.
  2. The Pass is valid for travel on all SBS Transit bus services (including Trunk, Feeder, Townlink, Jurong Industrial, Chinatown Direct, Parks, and Nite Owl Services) except for Express, Fast Forward and Premium bus services.
  3. The Pass cannot be used on rail services.
  4. The Pass can only be used if a valid Pass Stamp is properly affixed to the allocated space.
  5. The Pass Stamp is valid from the 1st of each month and for one calendar month from the date printed on the stamp. i.e.
    * a stamp dated 1st Feb 07 will be valid up to and including 28th Feb 07
  6. SeasonPass is not a concession pass.
  7. Pass Stamps can be purchased from TransitLink Ticket Offices and other authorized sales outlets.
  8. The valid Pass must be shown without demand to any authorised SBS Transit staff including but not limited to the Bus Captain and Ticket Inspector.
  9. The user must hand over the Pass when requested by any authorised SBS Transit staff for the purpose of ascertaining the authenticity of the Pass and/or Pass Stamp.
  10. The Pass and Pass Stamp are neither transferable nor refundable.
  11. Application fee of $3 is chargeable for each new application, a replacement fee of $5 is applicable for lost, stolen or damaged Pass.
  12. Legal proceedings may be taken against any person who misuses the Pass, allows any misuse of the Pass, or breaches any of the Terms & Conditions of the use of the Pass.
  13. The Pass and Pass Stamp are issued and owned by SBS Transit. SBS Transit reserves the right to cease the availability of the Pass and Pass Stamp without prior notice.
  14. SBS Transit reserves the right to have the Pass confiscated if the user of the Pass breaches any of the terms and conditions.
  15. The user shall not be entitled to refund or compensation of consequential loss of use in the event that the Pass is retained or confiscated.
  16. SBS Transit shall be entitled to amend these terms and conditions without prior notice.
