Unclaimed Properties to be Donated to Charity

With effect from 1 January 2007, all articles found on our buses, trains, interchanges and train stations that are unclaimed will be donated to the Salvation Army, a registered charity. This is in line with the Land Transport Authority's decision for public transport operators to assume the responsibility of administering property found on their buses, trains, interchanges and train stations.

All recovered articles that are unclaimed will be kept by SBS Transit for three months before they are donated to the charity. Prior to the donation, a notice of the recovered property will be posted on this website for seven (7) calendar days.

SBS Transit will not be responsible to compensate or make good for any loss of any property that has been donated to the charity. It is the owner's responsibility to make a claim on his/her property before the disposal date (set out below). SBS Transit will also not be responsible for any damage or the state or condition in respect of the recovered items.
