1. About EWO

The Eng Wah Group, founded in the 1940s, is the first cinema operator listed on the main board of the Stock Exchange of Singapore (SGX). The Group is a leading film exhibitor and distributor with 26 strategically located cinema screen halls with a capacity of over 5,300 seats.

It is the first cinema operator in Singapore and in the world to launch the world's first full 2K (2000 lines resolution) Digital Cinema in its cineplexes in May 2004, and is still the operator with the highest number of 2K digital screens in Singapore.

The Group's leisure and lifestyle entertainment businesses include cinema operations, film distribution and food concessionaire operations. The Group also owns and leases several commercial properties in Singapore which include the Jubilee Entertainment Complex at Ang Mo Kio and Toa Payoh Entertainment Centre at Toa Payoh.

2K Digital Cinemas
EW is the First Cinema Exhibitor outside of the United States of America to deploy a full 2K Digital Cinema system, and the First Cinema Exhibitor in the world to commercially screen a full 2K-enabled digital movie. Presently, EW still holds the record of having the most number of Digital halls (20) in Singapore.

DC seats are the best seats in the house! Each DC seat comes with a luxurious two-seater sofa, set amidst cosy ambience with special mood lighting. Seats are placed within spacious screened-off area to allow for privacy.

c) Specially designed High Comfort Seats
All cinemas are fully equipped with ergonomically designed and luxuriously upholstered seats complete with cup-holders. Love seats with lift-up arm rests and handicap seat spaces are also available.

d) Wider Leg Room
With the more than ample leg room between the seats at approximately 950mm to 1000 mm, there will be no more twisting and turning in your seats for the long-legged patrons nor bearing the discomfort of shifting in your seats to allow for late comers.

e) Private VIP Lounge (Only at EW-Suntec)
The first in Singapore, our VIP Lounge at EW-Suntec is designed specially for our corporate clients, for cocktails, hors d'oeuvres, a full-fledged luch/dinner, or for games and activities.

4. MILESTONES

1999
EW-Suntec is also the proud recipient of a Merit Award for Best Use of Colour in Interior in the SIA-ICI COLOUR Awards.

2001
EW-Suntec received honorable mention (Category F2) - Interior Design (Commercial) in the Singapore Institute of Architects (SIA) 6th Architectural Design Awards. It was commended for its ability to create a vibrant cinema-going experience for all.

2002
First Cinema Exhibitor in Singapore to implement an on-line loyalty program.

2003
- First Cinema Exhibitor outside of the United States of America to deploy a full 2K Digital Cinema system.
- First Cinema Exhibitor in the world to commercially screen a full 2K-enabled digital movie.

2004
First Cinema Exhibitor in the world to operate a full 2K enabled cineplex.

2005
- Placed among the top 100 Asian companies in CIO Asia's CIO 100 List.
- The first in Asia to operate the Crazy Horse Paris. The first in the world to operate an integrated Crazy Horse Paris entertainment venue. Crazy Horse Paris ended its season in Singapore on 4 February 2007.

2006
