From today, residents living in Jurong West Neighhourhood 2 (N2) will have a direct connection to the Gek Poh Ville Neighbourhood Centre along Jurong West Avenue 5 thanks to the introduction of Service 181.
Service 181 operates from Boon Lay Bus Interchange and loops at Jurong West Avenue 3. It operates on all days with the first bus and last bus departing from Boon Lay Bus Interchange at 6.00am and 12.00 midnight respectively.
The new service was launched this morning by Dr Amy Khor, Mayor for South West CDC and Adviser to Hong Kah North GROs. Dr Amy Khor said, “We have worked with SBS Transit over the provision of such a link and I am pleased that we are able to launch this service today. Residents of Jurong West Neighhourhood 2 will definitely be delighted to have this new service. They will enjoy better access to the various amenities in Gek Poh Ville Neighbourhood Centre.”
The new service also provides residents of Jurong West N2 with an additional link to Boon Lay Bus Interchange/MRT station. Currently, the flats within Jurong West N2 are served by Services 157 and 199 along Jurong West Avenue 2 and Jalan Bahar respectively. The services provide direct connections to Boon Lay Bus Interchange/MRT station, Jurong East and Bukit Batok New Town as well as facilitate transfer to the train and other bus services enroute.

Via Boon Lay Bus Interchange, (Jurong West Central 3), Jurong West Street 64, Jurong West Street 75, Jurong West Avenue 5, Jurong West Avenue 3, Jurong West Avenue 5, Jurong West Street 75, Jurong West Street 64, (Jurong West Central 3) and Boon Lay Bus Interchange.
