The Clementi Bus Interchange will be relocated to a temporary site, which is at the junction of Clementi Avenue 3 and Commonwealth Avenue West, starting from Sunday, 29 October 2006. This shift is to facilitate the redevelopment of the town centre where the existing bus interchange is located. The new Clementi Bus interchange is expected to be ready by 2011.

12 SBS Transit bus services that are currently operating at the existing Clementi Bus Interchange will then shift to the temporary site. These 12 services are 7, 14, 96, 99, 147, 156, 165, 166, 196, 282, 284 and 285.

Of significant note, passengers-in-wheelchairs will be able to board bus service 147 at the temporary bus interchange beginning from 30 October. This is when wheelchair-accessible buses will be introduced on that service.
