8 January 2006 – Between 6.36am and 9.13am, Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) conducted an emergency exercise involving Singapore’s public transport network. Dhoby Ghaut, Clarke Quay and Chinatown stations along the North East Line were closed during the exercise. Following the end of the exercise, the three stations resumed passenger service at 9.50am.
The bus bridging service provided at Outram Park, Chinatown, Clarke Quay, Dhoby Ghaut and Little India stations have also been withdrawn.
The boarding berths of Service 139, 143 and 145 at Toa Payoh interchange have been relocated back to their original locations at A3, A4 and A2 respectively. |
