8 March 2007 - SBS Transit will be introducing a new service that will provide a direct connection for commuters between Clementi and Geylang Lorong 1. This new service - Service 175 - will begin operations with effect from Sunday, 11 March.
With this new service, residents from Clementi Town and West Coast will have a direct service to Kallang. Commuters will also enjoy the convenience of a direct bus connection between Jalan Bukit Merah and the Pasir Panjang Wholesale Centre. Commuters travelling from Depot Road and Kallang Bahru will also benefit from having a direct service to Orchard Road.
Service 175 will operate from Clementi Interchange to Geylang Lorong 1 Terminal via West Coast Highway, Alexandra Road, Depot Road, Jalan Bukit Merah, CTE, Orchard Road, Bras Basah Road, Victoria Street, Lavender Street, Kallang Bahru and Upper Boon Keng Road.
