Good news for StarHub Mobile postpaid users! They can now access irisNextBus via SMS with effect from 29 March 08.
iris - an acronym for “Intelligent Route Information System” is a value-added service that offers bus arrival times on a real time basis to enhance the travelling experience for the public. This is how it works - commuters key in: <Bus stop number> space <Bus service number> and send it via text message to the shortcode number 74744. A return SMS will tell them when the next bus and the subsequent bus will arrive.
During the promotional period of April to September 2008, one Sony Ericsson K660i handset will be given out each month, to the top StarHub Mobile postpaid SMS user of iris NextBus. Each SMS is chargeable at five cents.
