On Sunday, 31 August 2008, SBS Transit bus services plying the Chinatown, Esplanade and Marina South routes will be temporarily affected due to major events happening in these areas.
Chinatown Mid Autumn Festival Opening
Between 2pm and 11pm, 14 SBS Transit bus services - Services 2, 12, 33, 54, 63, 80, 124, 143,145,147, 166, 197, CT8 and CT18 - will be temporarily diverted as the stretch of New Bridge Road and Eu Tong Sen Street between the junctions of Upper Cross Street and Kreta Ayer Road will be closed to vehicular traffic. These services will have to skip bus stops along the affected roads. Passengers can board and alight at alternative bus stops along the diverted route.

Nike Human Race
Between 2pm and 9pm, Eight Services -- 10, 57, 97, 100, 130, 131, 186 and 196 -- that travel in the vicinity of the Padang and Esplanade will be diverted due to the closure of roads and carriageways at the following times:

These affected services will not be able to call at bus stops along the affected roads, except for the one in front of the UIC Building along Shenton Way. Passengers travelling to and from the affected areas can board and alight at the bus stops along the diverted routes.
Concurrently, Services 400 and 402 which ply Marina South will temporarily not be in operations between 3.30 pm and 7.30pm.
