SBS Transit will be enhancing its bus and train services for the inaugural Formula 1 (F1) event, starting from Saturday, 20 September to 1 October 2008.
North East Line (NEL)
From 22 September 2008, 60 new trips will be added to the weekday schedule of the North East Line. 30 additional trips will run during the morning peak period, 20 during the lunch hours and 10 more trips for the evening peak hours, improving train frequency by between 15 and 30 seconds. These 60 new trips will continue permanently after F1.
During the F1 weekend, from 26 to 28 September 2008, about 80 new trips will also be added daily to cater to the anticipated increase in ridership starting from 12.30pm on Friday and Saturday and from 1.00pm on Sunday. Train Services will also be extended during these three days - the last Northbound train towards Punggol Station will depart at 1.38am and the Southbound train from Dhoby Ghaut Station towards HarbourFront Station at 1.23am.
Punggol and Sengkang LRT
The last train will depart Sengkang Town Centre Station on both the East and West Loops at about 2.03am and the Punggol Town Centre Station at about 2.05am. These would be after the last NEL train arrives at their stations.

The 30 Premium Services will continue to operate during the morning peak hours. However, from 23 to 29 September 2008, these services will terminate at the bus stop opposite the TAS Building along Robinson Road, and will not proceed to the last two bus stops along their regular routes due to road closure.

They will also be extended to operate on Sunday, 28 September 2008 according to their regular schedule. However, due to road closures, the Nite Owl services will skip three bus stops along Raffles Ave during these three days. The trips will start from the bus stop outside City Hall MRT Station at North Bridge Road, and continue on their regular routes.

These are planned to tie-in with the extended train hours and will serve eight heartlands - Ang Mo Kio, Bedok, Boon Lay, Clementi, Hougang, Jurong East and West, Pasir Ris and Tampines.
