During this coming weekend, 32 SBS Transit bus services will be temporarily affected as selected roads and bus stops will be closed to facilitate the Chinatown Yuan Xiao Jie Celebrations and the Thaipusam procession.
- Chinatown Yuan Xiao Jie Celebrations (Saturday, 7 February 2009)
As New Bridge Road and Eu Tong Sen Street (between the junctions of Upper Cross Street and Kreta Ayer Road) will be closed to vehicular traffic between 3pm and midnight, 14 bus services – 2, 12, 33, 54, 63, 80, 124, 143, 145, 147, 166, 197, CT8 and CT18 – will be diverted, resulting in these bus stops being skipped along their routes:

- Thaipusam Festival 2009 (Saturday to Monday, 7 to 9 February 2009)
For the Thaipusam religious procession, four SBS Transit Services - 64, 123, 139 and 143 - will be diverted when Clemenceau Ave (the carriageway towards Orchard Road) is closed to vehicular traffic from Saturday, 7 February 9pm to Monday, 9 February 2009, 2am. These Services will skip bus stops along the closed roads as they travel along River Valley, Hill Street, Stamford Road and Penang Road before resuming their regular routes.
In addition, selected bus stops along the procession route will also be closed for safety reasons. The selected bus stops and the affected services are as follows:
