On Sunday, 15 March 2009, the routes of six SBS Transit bus services will be temporarily affected due to road closures for two sporting events - Sprint Duathlon and Suburban Run@North East 2009.
Between 5am and 11am, SBS Transit's Service 138 will be temporary diverted when these roads are closed to vehicular traffic:
– Between Upper Thomson Road and Mandai Ave
– Between Mandai Ave and Mandai Lake Road (the left carriageway towards Mandai Lake Road)

- Suburban Run @ North East 2009
Between 6am and 12 noon, five bus services – 3, 62, 83, 85 and 136 – will be diverted in Sengkang and Punggol towns as the following roads will be closed:
– Punggol Drive
– Punggol East (Both directions between Sengkang East Way and Punggol Field)
– Sengkang East Drive (Between Sengkang East Way and Upper Serangoon Road, in the direction of the city)

Passengers travelling to and from the affected areas can board and alight at bus stops along the diverted routes.
