Bus services affected due to events this Sunday (APEC 2009 Rehearsal, Great Eastern Woman 2009 & National Day Investiture)

Several SBS Transit bus services will be affected due to events taking place this Sunday, 1 November 2009.

  • APEC 2009 Rehearsal

  • On Sunday, 1 November 2009, between 1.00am and 2.00am, the six Nite Owl services will be affected when Raffles Avenue is closed to vehicular traffic. As such, these services will start their trips from the bus stop outside the Saint Andrew’s Cathedral along North Bridge Road, skipping the three bus stops along Raffles Avenue.

  • Great Eastern Woman 2009

  • 17 SBS Transit – 10, 11, 14, 16, 36, 56, 70M, 97, 100, 111, 130, 131, 133, 162M, 195, 196 and 502 – will be affected due to road closures for this Sunday’s event:

    10 bus services – 10, 14, 16, 70M, 97, 100, 130, 131, 195 and 196 – will be temporarily diverted to ply on alternative routes when the following roads are closed to vehicular traffic:

    Concurrently, between 5.00am and 10.15am, nine bus services – 36, 56, 70M, 97, 111, 133, 162M, 195 and 502 – will have to skip the bus stop in front of the Seating Gallery along Raffles Avenue when the bus lane is closed to vehicular traffic.

    In addition, Service 11, which loops between Geylang Lorong 1 and the Singapore Indoor Stadium, will begin its first trip at 9.15am.

  • National Day Investiture

  • Services 96 and 151 will be diverted when a section of Kent Ridge Crescent between the roundabout and the University Cultural Centre is closed from 2.00pm to 11.59pm to facilitate this Sunday’s National Day Investiture.

    Both services will not be able to call at the bus stop in front of NUS Raffles Hall while Service 151 will also skip the bus stop opposite NUS Raffles Hall along Kent Ridge Crescent.
