From 1 to 28 August 2010, the routes of Services 179 and 199, which ply the Nanyang Technological University, will be temporarily amended due to road closures for the YOG Games Village.
As a result of the temporary route amendment, Service 179 will skip these six bus stops along Nanyang Drive;
- - Outside Lee Wee Nam Library (bus stop code 27211)
- - Outside School of Civil & Environmental Engineering
(bus stop code 27221)
- - Outside School of Communications and Information
(bus stop code 27231)
- - In front of Hall 7 (bus stop code 27241)
- - Outside Innovation Centre (bus stop code 27251)
- - In front of Hall 4 (bus stop code 27261
On its return journey, it will call temporarily at these five bus stops
- - In front of Student Service Centre (bus stop code 63735)
- - Outside NTU Pioneer Station (bus stop code 63737)
- - Opposite Canteen 2 (bus stop code 63725)
- - In front of Hall 6 (bus stop code 63727)
- - Opposite Hall 1 (bus stop code 63729)
Service 199 will turn into Jurong West Avenue 3 after the Civil Defence School (bus stop code 27091) at Jalan Bahar instead of continuing on its journey towards Nanyang Avenue. It will then loop after the bus stop at Blk 276B Jurong West Avenue 3 (bus stop 27469) and resume its journey on Jalan Boon Lay before returning to Boon Lay Interchange.
As a result, it will bypass the bus stops along Jalan Bahar, Nanyang Avenue, Nanyang Crescent and Nanyang Drive. It will, however, call temporarily at four bus stops located along Jurong West Ave 3:
- - In front of Blk 273B (bus stop code 27459)
- - In front of Blk 276B (bus stop code 27469)
- - Opposite Blk 276B (bus stop code 27461)
- - Between Blks 272D/271A (bus stop code 27451)
