Chinatown Direct Bus Services for the Chinese New Year

The operating hours of the Chinatown Direct Bus Services - CT8 and CT18 - will be changed temporarily in the lead up to Chinese New Year. They will also be affected by road closures due to the Chinese New Year festive celebrations.

CT8 plies between Ang Mo Kio and Chinatown while CT18 travels between Bedok and Chinatown. CT28 will cease to operate from this Chinese New Year.

1. CHANGE IN OPERATING HOURS
For three Saturdays - 7, 14 and 21 January - the last bus of CT8 and CT18 heading to Chinatown will depart from their respective heartlands at 9.00pm, which is about an hour later than usual, while the last bus back from Chinatown will depart at 12.30am from the bus stop after Hospital Drive (10017) along Eu Tong Sen Street.

On weekdays and Sundays, from 9 to 26 January 2017, the timings of their first and last trips will be adjusted by between five and 10 minutes.

On the eve of Chinese New Year, 27 January 2017, their operating hours will be extended with the last bus heading to Chinatown departing from their respective heartlands at 11.00pm. The last bus back from Chinatown will depart at 1.55am from the bus stop after Hospital Drive (10017) along Eu Tong Sen Street.

There will be no Chinatown Direct Bus Services in operation on 28 and 29 January 2017. From Monday, 30 January 2017, CT 8 and CT18 will resume their normal operating hours.
