Why do I keep seeing more buses of other services arriving at my bus stop? Why is my bus travelling so slowly today? How do you train your Bus Captains to drive safely? If you’ve been wondering about questions such as these, why not join us at our “Commuter Chat”? Besides questions, commuters can also share bus travel experiences or propose suggestions to enhance their bus journeys.
Starting from Thursday, 24 August 2017, “Commuter Chat” will kick off its first session at the Ang Mo Kio Bus Interchange, near the main entrance of the Ang Mo Kio Hub.
Initially, these sessions will be conducted once every quarter. From January 2018, the frequency will be increased and it will be conducted monthly. The sessions will be held on the fourth Thursday of the month, from 6.00pm to 7.00pm at selected bus interchanges.
SBS Transit Senior Vice President and Head of Bus Operations, Mr Ivan Tan, said: “Commuter Chat will allow us to meet and engage our commuters right where they are and hear directly from them about their bus journeys. Our managers, who are on the backend such as in operations, training and engineering, will also get the opportunity to meet our commuters and know first-hand how their work can have an impact on the travel experience. As a major public transport operator, it is important for us to go to the ground to get feedback so that we can continue to do better in serving our commuters, who are central to what we do.”
We look forward to meeting our commuters at our first Commuter Chat at the Ang Mo Kio Bus Interchange.
