Today is my first day taking the City Shopper 581 on 16 Dec 2007 around
10.30 am with my 2 daughters, from Punggol Field Blk 126A going to
MacDonald House in order to reach the Wesley Methodists Church by 11.30am
Worship Service.
Normally, we waited for SBS Bus Service 62 to ferry us to Punggol MRT
Station, but today it was late. Suddenly CityShopper Service 581 arrived
at the above destination and we just tried our luck to see what time it
takes to travel from Punggol Field to MacDonald House bus stop. To our
surprise, it reached MacDonald House bus stop at 11.20am, just as the same
time as we took bus service 62 to Punggol MRT Station and alight at Dhoby
Ghaut MRT Station. It travelled fast from CTE onwards to city and there
wasn't much traffic jam along Scotts Roadvia Orchard Road, so I would
consider taking CityShopper to MacDonald House every weekend through and
fro. It is worth traveling on CityShopper as it is very comfortable with
no standing passengers are allowed. I did travel through and fro for today
as I enjoyed looking at the scenery along Orchard area.
I strongly recommended my friends/neighbors to this CityShopper Service
581 travelling from Punggol to City, even though the fare is slightly
higher than transferring from bus service 62 to Punggol MRT Station, in
order to reach Dhoby Ghaut MRT Station.

I took CityShopper Service 579 from Suntec Convention Centre back home to
Tampines on 24 December 2007. It's an awesome service as it takes me home
in a flash and costs so much less than a taxi!
Keep up this service, SBS and do introduce more of such services for
commuters!
