Chinatown Direct Services in the lead up to Chinese New Year from 16 January to February 2016

The operating hours of the Chinatown Direct Bus Services - CT8, CT18 and CT28 - will be extended in the three weeks leading up to the Chinese New Year from 16 January to 7 February 2016.

CT8, which plies between Ang Mo Kio and Chinatown, and CT18, which travels from Bedok to Chinatown, currently operate on a daily basis. CT28 which plies between Clementi and Chinatown, on the other hand, operates only during the Chinese New Year festive period. CT28 will be in operation from 16 January to 7 February 2016.

For four Saturdays - 16, 23, 30 January and 6 February - the last bus of CT8, CT18 and CT28 heading to Chinatown will depart from their respective heartlands at 9.00pm instead of their usual time at 8.00pm. The last bus back from Chinatown will depart at 12.30am from the bus stop after Hospital Drive (bus stop number 10017) along Eu Tong Sen Street.

On all other weekdays, from 16 January to 5 February, these three services to Chinatown will operate from 10.00am to 4.30pm while the return journey will be from 11.00am to 5.00pm. On Sundays, they will operate from 9.50am to 8.00pm towards Chinatown while the return trip will be from 11.00am to 10.00pm.

On the eve of Chinese New Year, their operating hours will be extended. The last bus heading to Chinatown will depart from their respective heartlands at 11.00pm instead of their usual time at 8.00pm. The last bus back from Chinatown will depart at 1.55am from the bus stop after Hospital Drive (bus stop number 10017) along Eu Tong Sen Street.

There will be no Chinatown Direct Services on 8 and 9 February 2016. From Wednesday, 10 February 2016, CT 8 and CT18 will resume normal operating hours while CT28 will cease operations until the next Lunar New Year.
