Extension of operating hours for train and selected bus services during Formula One Singapore Grand Prix
2 September 2016 - SBS Transit will be extending the operating hours of its train and selected bus services during the Formula One race days.
1) TRAIN SERVICES
16 September 2016
On Friday, 16 September, train services on the North East and Downtown Lines as well as on the Sengkang and Punggol LRT systems will be extended by about one-and-a-half hours.
On the North East Line, the last train in the direction of HarbourFront will depart from Punggol Station at 12.56am, Sengkang Station at 12.58am, Serangoon Station at 1.07am, Little India Station at 1.17am, Dhoby Ghaut Station at 1.19am, Chinatown Station at 1.23am and Outram Park Station at 1.25am. The last train towards Punggol will leave HarbourFront Station at 1.31am, Outram Park Station at 1.34am, Chinatown Station at 1.36am, Dhoby Ghaut Station at 1.40am, Little India Station at 1.42am, Serangoon Station at 12.52am and Sengkang Station at 2.01am.
Services on the Punggol and Sengkang LRT systems will similarly be extended to coincide with the last train arrival on the North East Line. The last train on the Sengkang LRT will depart from the Town Centre Station at 2.06am while the last train on the Punggol LRT will leave the Town Centre at 2.08am.
The last train on the Downtown Line in the direction of Bukit Panjang will depart Chinatown Station at 1.38am, Bayfront Station at 1.43am, Promenade Station at 1.45am, Bugis Station at 1.47am, Little India Station at 1.50am, Newton Station at 1.52am and Botanic Gardens Station at 1.57am. The last train towards Chinatown will leave Bukit Panjang Station at 1.00am, Botanic Gardens Station at 1.15am, Newton Station at 1.20am, Little India Station at 1.22am, Bugis Station at 1.25am, Promenade Station at 1.27am and Bayfront Station at 1.30am.
17 and 18 September 2016
On Saturday and Sunday, 17 and 18 September, train services on the North East and Downtown Lines as well as on the Sengkang and Punggol LRT systems will be extended by at least an hour.
On the North East Line, the last train in the direction of HarbourFront will depart from Punggol Station at 12.37am, Sengkang Station at 12.39am, Serangoon Station at 12.49am, Little India Station at 12.59am, Dhoby Ghaut Station at 1.01am, Chinatown Station at 1.05am and Outram Park Station at 1.07am. The last train towards Punggol will leave HarbourFront Station at 1.11am, Outram Park Station at 1.14am, Chinatown Station at 1.16am, Dhoby Ghaut Station at 1.20am, Little India Station at 1.22am, Serangoon Station at 1.33am and Sengkang Station at 1.42am.
Services on the Punggol and Sengkang LRT systems will similarly be extended to coincide with the last train arrival on the North East Line. The last train on the Sengkang LRT will depart from the Town Centre Station at 1.47am while the last train on the Punggol LRT will leave the Town Centre at 1.49am.
The last train on the Downtown Line in the direction of Bukit Panjang will depart Chinatown Station at 1.18am, Bayfront Station at 1.23am, Promenade Station at 1.25am, Bugis Station at 1.27am, Little India Station at 1.30am, Newton Station at 1.32am and Botanic Gardens Station at 1.37am. The last train towards Chinatown will leave Bukit Panjang Station at 12.40am, Botanic Gardens Station at 12.55am, Newton Station at 1.00am, Little India Station at 1.02am, Bugis Station at 1.05am, Promenade Station at 1.07am and Bayfront Station at 1.10am.
2) BUS SERVICES
To complement the extension of train operating hours, the last bus timings of nine selected bus services – 181, 222, 225G, 243G, 261, 262, 265, 358 and 359 - will also be extended at their respective bus interchanges during the F1 race days on 16, 17, and 18 September 2016.
