Extension of operating hours for train and selected bus services on Christmas eve & New Year’s eve

SBS Transit will be extending the operating hours of its train services on the North East Line (NEL), Downtown Line (DTL) and the Sengkang Punggol LRT systems (SPLRT) on Sundays, 24 and 31 December 2017. Similarly, 24 selected bus services will also run later on both Sundays.

On Christmas eve, train services will be extended by about one-and-a-quarter hours, with the last train leaving the NEL Harbourfront Station at 1.18am and the DTL Expo Station at 12.52am.

The following Sunday, on New Year's Eve, train operating hours will be extended by at least two hours to enable commuters celebrating the Countdown to get home. The last train leaving the NEL Harbourfront Station will be at 2.16am while at the DTL Expo Station, it will be at 1.49am.

On both Sundays, the SPLRT systems will also run until after the last NEL train arrives at their respective Town Centre Stations.

To complement the extension of train operating hours, 24 selected bus services - 33, 51A, 60A, 63M, 133, 181, 222, 225G, 228, 229, 232, 238, 240, 241, 243G, 261, 269, 291, 292, 293, 315, 325, 400 and 410W - will be extended to run later at their respective bus interchanges and terminals on both occasions. This is in addition to the six Nite Owl services that will be extended to operate until 4.00am.
