Midnight Bus Services and Extended Train Hours During 2014 F1 Singapore Grand Prix

SBS Transit will be extending the operating hours of its train services from 19 to 21 September during the 2014 Formula One Singapore Grand Prix. Midnight bus services will also be operating to complement the extended train hours.

1. Extended Train Operating Hours

On Friday, 19 September, the last train timings will be extended by slightly more than 90 minutes on the North East Line. Services on the Punggol and Sengkang LRT systems will also be extended to coincide with the last train arrivals on the North East Line. On the Downtown Line, the last train arrivals at the respective stations will similarly be extended by more than 70 minutes.

On Saturday and Sunday, 20 and 21 September, the last train timings will also be extended by slightly more than 70 minutes on the North East Line. Services on the Punggol and Sengkang LRT systems will also be extended to coincide with the last train arrivals on the North East Line. On the Downtown Line, the last train arrivals at the respective stations will similarly be extended by about 55 minutes.

2. Midnight Bus Services

To complement the extension of the train operating hours, four midnight bus services – EW1, EW5, EW27 and NS16 – will be in operation to serve residents in the respective heartlands. They will operate from the Pasir Ris, Bedok, Boon Lay and Ang Mo Kio bus interchanges respectively. Commuters will be charged a flat fare of $1.50 per ride.

These are in addition to the Nite Owl services that operate on Friday and Saturday nights.
