SBS Transit to roll out another five wheelchair-accessible bus services

SBS Transit will be rolling out five new wheelchair-accessible bus services on Thursday, 3 December 2015 to mark the International Day of Persons with Disabilities.

The five services are 107/107M, 179, 14e, 89e and 151e, which will bring the total number of wheelchair-friendly bus services that we offer to 204. This means that 91.4% of our basic bus services will be wheelchair friendly which will make it more convenient for passengers-in-wheelchairs to get around on public transport.

The routes of the five services are:

Service 107/ 107M: Hougang Central, Hougang Avenue 10, Hougang Avenue 2, Upper Serangoon Road, Bendemeer Road, Geylang Bahru, Kallang Bahru, Lavender Street, Kallang Road, Victoria Street, Jalan Sultan, Beach Road, Connaught Drive, Collyer Quay, Raffles Quay, Shenton Way and Palmer Road.

Service 179 (loop service): Jurong West Central 3, Jurong West Street 63, Pioneer Road North, Lien Ying Chow Drive and Nanyang Drive.

Service 14e: Bedok North Avenue 3, Bedok North Road, New Upper Changi Road, Bedok Road, Upper East Coast Road, East Coast Road, Mountbatten Road, Nicoll Highway, Stamford Road, Orchard Road, Penang Road, Somerset Road and Orchard Turn.

Service 89e: Hougang Central, Hougang Avenue 10, Punggol Road, Sengkang East Avenue, Compassvale Road, Compassvale Street, TPE, Punggol Road, Pasir Ris Drive 12, Pasir Ris Drive 1, Pasir Ris Central, Pasir Ris Drive 3, Loyang Avenue, Telok Paku Road, Nicoll Drive, Airline Road and Airport Cargo Road.

Service 151e: Hougang Central, Hougang Avenue 5, Hougang Avenue 7, Tampines Road, Hougang Avenue 3, Airport Road, Macpherson Road, Jalan Toa Payoh, Whitley Road, Bukit Timah Road, Clementi Road and Kent Ridge Crescent.
