Train and Bus Services during Christmas Eve
SBS Transit will be extending the operating hours of its train and bus services on Christmas eve, Thursday, 24 December 2015. The operating hours of selected Fast Forward and Express bus services will also be amended for that day.
A. EXTENSION OF HOURS
1. TRAIN SERVICES
Train services on the North East and Downtown Lines will be extended by about one-and-a-quarter hours on 24 December 2015.
On the North East Line, the last train in the direction of HarbourFront will depart Punggol Station at 12.47am, Serangoon Station at 12.58am, Dhoby Ghaut Station at 1.10am, Chinatown Station at 1.14am and Outram Park Station at 1.16am. The last train towards Punggol will leave HarbourFront Station at 1.18am, Outram Park Station at 1.21am, Chinatown Station at 1.23am, Dhoby Ghaut Station at 1.27am and Serangoon Station at 1.39am.
Services on the Punggol and Sengkang LRT systems will similarly be extended to coincide with the last train arrivals on the North East Line. The last train on the Sengkang LRT will depart the Town Centre Station at 1.54am while the last train on the Punggol LRT will leave the Town Centre at 1.56am.
On the Downtown Line, the last train in the direction of Bugis will depart Chinatown Station at 1.10am, Bayfront Station at 1.15am and Promenade Station at 1.17am. The last train towards Chinatown will leave Bugis Station at 1.13am, Promenade Station at 1.15am and Bayfront Station at 1.17am.
2. BUS SERVICES
To complement the extension of train operating hours, the last bus timings of 32 selected bus services - 2, 12, 33, 51A, 60A, 63M, 97, 133, 181, 222, 225G, 228, 229, 232, 238, 240, 241, 243G, 261, 269, 282, 291, 292, 293, 315, 325, 333, 334, 358, 359, 400 and 410W - will also be extended at their respective bus interchanges/terminals.
In addition, the six Nite Owl services will be extended to operate until 4.00am.
B. CHANGES IN OPERATING HOURS
Eleven services - 10e, 14e, 30e, 74e, 89e, 97e, 128, 151e, 174e, 196e and 513 - that serve the Central Business District will not be in operation during the evening peak hours as offices will be closed earlier on Christmas eve. However, these services will operate return trips from the city between 1.00pm and 2.00pm instead. There is no change to the operating hours of these services from the heartlands to the city for the morning trips
