Train and Bus Services during the Standard Chartered Marathon Singapore 2014 (Updated 28 November)
On Sunday, 7 December 2014, train services on the North East Line, the Sengkang/Punggol LRT and the Downtown Line will begin earlier to provide connection for commuters getting to the race venues of the Standard Chartered Marathon. However, thirty-six bus services will be affected by lane/road closures with bus stops skipped along the affected roads.
TRAIN SERVICES
The first North East Line (NEL) train towards HarbourFront will leave Punggol station at 3.00am, while the first NEL train towards Punggol will leave HarbourFront station at 3.15am. Train service will operate at between 5 and 15-minute intervals before resuming its regular Sunday morning schedules at 6.00am.
Services on the Punggol and Sengkang LRT systems will also commence earlier at 2.40am.
On the Downtown Line (DTL), the first train towards Bugis will leave Chinatown Station at 3.30am, while the first train towards Chinatown will leave Bugis Station at 3.33am. The trains will operate at 15-minute intervals, and will resume their regular Sunday morning schedules from 6.23am.
BUS SERVICES
With lane and road closures, 36 SBS Transit bus services - 2, 10, 11, 14, 16, 30, 32, 36, 48, 51, 56, 57, 63, 64, 70M, 80, 97, 100, 111, 124, 130, 131, 133, 145, 158, 162M, 166, 174, 186, 195, 196, 197, 400, 402, 502 and 518 - will skip a number of bus stops along the affected roads between 5.00am and 4.00pm.
Services 11, 400 and 402 will commence their first trips at 10.00am as a result of road closures.
