Train and bus services for Vesak Day Celebrations

SBS Transit will be extending the operating hours of its train and selected bus services on the eve of Vesak Day, Sunday, 31 May 2015. Service 130A will also be in operation to better serve the travel needs of commuters in getting to the Kong Meng San Phor Kark See Monastery.

TRAIN SERVICES

Train services on the North East Line, Sengkang/Punggol LRT and Downtown Line will be extended by half-an-hour on the eve of Vesak day.

On the North East Line, the last train in the direction of HarbourFront will depart from Punggol Station at 12.02am, Serangoon Station at 12.13am, Dhoby Ghaut Station at 12.26am, Chinatown Station at 12.30am and Outram Park Station at 12.32am. The last train towards Punggol will leave HarbourFront Station at 12.30am, Outram Park Station at 12.33am, Chinatown Station at 12.35am, Dhoby Ghaut Station at 12.39am and Serangoon Station at 12.52am.

Services on the Punggol and Sengkang LRT systems will also be extended to coincide with the last train arrivals on the North East Line. The last train on the Sengkang LRT will depart from the Town Centre Station at 1.06am while the last train on the Punggol LRT will depart from the Town Centre at 1.08am.

On the Downtown Line, the last train in the direction of Bugis will depart Chinatown Station at 12.14am, Bayfront Station at 12.19am and Promenade Station at 12.21am. The last train towards Chinatown will leave Bugis Station at 12.15am, Promenade Station at 12.17am and Bayfront Station at 12.19am.

BUS SERVICES

To complement the extension of the train operating hours, the last bus timings of 26 selected bus services - 51A, 60A, 63M, 181, 222, 225G, 228, 229, 232, 238, 240, 241, 243G, 261, 269, 282, 291, 292, 293, 315, 325, 333, 334, 358, 359 and 410W - will also be extended at their respective bus interchanges on the eve of Vesak day.

To better serve the needs of commuters heading to the Kong Meng San Phor Kark See Monastery, Service 130A will be in operation to supplement Service 130. Service 130A will only operate from the Ang Mo Kio Interchange to Sin Ming Road (Blk 25) on Sunday, 31 May 2015, from 1.35pm to 10.53pm and on Vesak Day, 1 June 2015 from 7.27am to 5.42pm.
