Five more SBS Transit Bus Services installed with Vehicle Location System

SBS Transit will be rolling out the Vehicle Location System (VLS) on five more bus services on 20 September 2004. The bus services are 261, 254, 272, 275, and 315.

To help commuters familiarize with the new system that updates fare stages automatically, SBS Transit will deploy 27 goodwill ambassadors during the peak period on 20 September 2004 to the five new services to assist commuters.

Apart from goodwill ambassadors, posters and decals will also be displayed at Ang Mo Kio, Boon Lay, Bukit Merah and Serongoon Interchange where the five services are from, to inform customers about the VLS.

The VLS was first launched on SBS Transit bus services on 30 July 2004 and later on 23 August 2004. To date, ten bus services are installed with the VLS. They are 3, 40, 194, 228, 265, 268, 282, 284, 285 and 506.
