Train and Bus Services during the Standard Chartered Marathon Singapore 2013
On Sunday, 1 December 2013, train services on the North East Line and the Sengkang/Punggol LRT will begin earlier to provide connection for commuters getting to the race venues of the Standard Chartered Marathon. On the other hand, 37 SBS Transit bus services will be affected by lane/road closures with bus stops skipped along the affected roads.
TRAIN SERVICES
Trains on the North East Line (NEL) will operate from 3.00am at 15-minute intervals to provide participants, volunteers and supporters with greater connectivity to the other rail lines, which lie on the main route of the race.
The first NEL train towards HarbourFront will leave Punggol station at 3.00am, while the first NEL train towards Punggol will leave HarbourFront station at 3.15am. The Sengkang and Punggol LRT will commence operations at 2.40am.
The trains will resume their regular Sunday morning schedules from 6.03am.
BUS SERVICES
With lane and road closures, 37 SBS Transit bus services - 2, 7, 10, 11, 12, 14, 16, 30, 31, 32, 33, 36, 51, 56, 57, 63, 64, 70M, 80, 97, 100, 111, 124, 130, 131, 133, 145, 158, 162M, 166, 174, 186, 195, 196, 197, 502 and 518 - will skip a number of bus stops along the affected roads between 5.00am and 4.00pm.
Service 11 will commence its first trip at 10.30am as a result of road closures.
